The Task Force to Study Statewide Gypsy Moth Infestation formed in October 2008 (Chapter 239, Acts of 2008). The Task Force studied and made recommendations on the most effective, practical, regulatory and legislative means of combating gypsy moth infestation in Maryland.

In December 2009, the Task Force reported to the Governor and General Assembly.
