In April 2020, the Governor formed the Coronavirus Recovery Team.

The Team is advising the Governor and other State officials on planning for State recovery from the coronavirus (COVID-19).

To determine when various stages of recovery are to begin, Maryland officials focus on the rate of hospitalizations and the number of patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU). As these numbers continued to plateau, Maryland began Stage II Recovery on June 5, 2020. Marylanders can access this data daily at coronavirus.maryland.gov.
