Henderson, Court of Appeals, 1958-59. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1958. Associate, Mylander & Atwater, 1962-65. Member, American, 2nd Circuit and Queen Anne's County Bar Associations. Member, Maryland State Bar Association (chair, young lawyers committee, 1964-65; local member, judicial nominations committee, 1966-67, 1977-83; member, grievance committee, 1970-72; council, criminal law section, 1985-89; committee to revise pattern criminal jury instructions, 1988). Former newspaper executive. Past owner, The Record-Observer, The Bay Times, Chester River Press. Past part owner, The Star Democrat. Member, Queen Anne's County Historical Society (founding director, 1960; past president). President, Queen Anne's County Jaycees, 1965-66. Trustee, The Gunston School, 1972-85 (president, 1974-75; chair, finance committee, 1979-85). Chair, Centreville Heritage Commission, 1983-91. Died in Annapolis, Maryland, November 28, 2021.
