WORCESTER COUNTY BINGO BOARD
To conduct bingo in Worcester County, an organization or municipal corporation must secure a license.

The Worcester County Bingo Board was responsible for exercising control and supervision over all games of bingo to ensure that they were conducted fairly in accordance with licenses issued and Board regulations. The Board did not allow bingo to be conducted for commercial purposes or private profit.

Appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent, the Board consisted of three members who served six-year terms (Code Criminal Law Article, secs. 13-2601 through 13-2613).

Effective October 1, 2014, the Board was abolished, and its functions and responsibilities transferred to the Department of Development Review and Permitting (Chapter 60, Acts of 2014).

DATA RESEARCH DIVISION
Under Department of Development Review and Permitting, Data Research Division was abolished in Dec. 2021. Division duties were reassigned to Administrative, Customer Service and Zoning divisions.

TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Renamed Tourism Advisory Board in July 2020.

TOURISM OFFICE
In July 2020, Tourism Office merged with Department of Economic Development to form Department of Tourism and Economic Development.
