In July 2015, Mayor created Tydings Memorial Park Commission (Executive Order 2015-02). Commission was to study and analyze certain matters relating to Tydings Memorial Park at foot of Commerce Street and areas beyond Promenade, Concord Point Lighthouse, and waterfront parkland along Concord Street. Points of concern included band shell type and location, lighting, playground location and equipment, swale area use, sidewalks, carnival, seafood festival, and special events.
Appointed by Mayor, Commission consisted of twelve members.
Commission reported to Mayor on March 18, 2016.
